COF Annual Casting Clinic

When - Saturday, June 13th, 9:00 to Noon

Location – Eagle Crest Soccer Field (directions will be sent to participants at a later date)

Class is limited to 12 students, must be a COF member. Cost is $20

Whether you're brand new to fly fishing or you've been at it for years, this Casting Clinic on Saturday, June 13th is for you. This event is designed so everyone - from first-timers to seasoned anglers - can pick up practical tips, sharpen their skills, and have a great day casting.

In this one comprehensive session, you’ll learn rod and arm mechanics, how to let the rod do the work, and discover tips that benefit both beginners and experienced anglers. Essential techniques include:

The Basic Cast
Tightening up your Loop for Accuracy and Distance
Casting from 20 to 45 feet
Adjust Casting Speed and Casting Planes to match the fishing situation

For $20, you’ll learn from experienced instructors and develop the skills you need for fishing success! Class is open to COF members.

Our team of instructors will be there to coach you throughout the clinic, offering tips, demonstrations, and encouragement to help you reach your goals. Whether you’re just starting out, hoping to sharpen your cast, or ready to take on new fly-fishing challenges, you’ll get to practice, ask questions, and build your confidence in a relaxed, supportive setting.
